Susan Ferraro graduated in 1974 from Chamberlayne College - Boston, MA. majoring in Interior Design and Architecture. Following college, she pursued a design career for several years with strong interests in textiles. After marrying and having a child, she decided to create and show a variety of art made with fabrics.
Inspirations from Fiber Artist Annemieke Mein and a great deal of nature research have directed her to focus solely on the subjects of animals, sea life, and nature studies. Today, she creates one-of-a-kind wall hangings and three dimensional creatures made with numerous fabrics, fibers, and embellishments.
Susan has won first place and "best of show" awards several times in fiber art and offers a unique display of wildlife textile pieces.
